We, the BCCM of Mittweida University of Applied Sciences, will host the 5th Blockchain Autumn School (BAS2021) from September 13 to 17, 2021.

Blockchain technology is on everyone’s lips, and scientific, economic and industrial interest is unbroken. However, designing and implementing Blockchain systems requires expertise in several areas. This is where BAS2021 comes in: The Blockchain Autumn School is an educational and networking event in the field of Blockchain. In addition to technical lectures and a series of internships, a Blockchain Scientific Track and industry-specific practical lectures will be offered.

More than 25 renowned partners and many research institutions will present their latest applications and research results. BAS2021 is also supported by media partner BTC ECHO

Around 45 events in one week! On the one hand, the lectures and practical units of the “Education Track” impart basic knowledge. On the other hand, there are a large number of industry-specific lectures on the topics of “Energy and Utilities” (on Sept. 13), “Production and Logistics” (on Sept. 14) and “Decentralized Finance” (on Sept. 15). Thursday (16.09.) is all about science and research. In the Scientific Track, selected scientists may present their approaches and results for discussion and hope for the Best Paper Award of Volksbank Mittweida.

In addition, BAS2021 offers an exciting supporting program with a virtual panel discussion (16.09.) and two digital Blockchain Meetups. Here, the focus is on the one hand on the topic “Sustainability of Blockchain” (external registration required) and on the other hand on the proposal of a digital central bank currency (external registration required). The week will be rounded off by an innovation forum (in cooperation with the city of Mittweida, external registration required). Here there is the opportunity to discuss and further develop exciting blockchain project ideas
